Is it ok to take azithromycin if they got left in the car in the heat for a few days?

You didn't indicate what form of aziithromycin (Zithromax) you have. It is available in several dosage forms. You also do not say how hot the car was.

Here are the recommended storage limits. Beyond these limits, the manufacture does not have published data for stability.

  • Store the liquid suspension between 5 and 30 degrees C (41 and 86 degrees F) for up to 10 days.
  • Store the tablets at room temperature between 15 and 30 degrees C (59 and 86 degrees F).
  • Store the eye drops in the unopened bottle in the refrigerator between 2 and 8 degrees C (36 and 46 degrees F). Once opened for use, store between 2 and 25 degrees C (36 and 77 degrees F) for up to 14 days. Do not freeze.

If the medication was outside of these limits, contact the dispensing pharmacy and see what they recommend.
