Any problem with taking a 5mg Ambien and 1mg Ativan tonight before a surgical procedure tomorrow?

Both Ambien (zolpidem) and Ativan (lorazepam) can be used for sleep. It would be a duplication of therapy to take both together. If your physician has told you to do this, do so with caution. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. This effect may last for a few days after you stop taking these drugs together.

Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how these drugs affect you. If you notice slurred speech, confusion, severe weakness, or difficulty breathing, contact your health care provider immediately. Do not drive yourself to the procedure.
