I am taking Zoloft 75 mg once daily and Wellbutrin 100 mg twice daily and 2mg of ativan at bed time. What OTC medicine can I use for sinus congestion, pressure, and headache?

There are possible drug interactions with your three current medications. Taking Wellbutrin (bupropion) and Ativan (lorazepam) together may increase the risk of seizures. Do not suddenly stop taking Ativan while you are taking Wellbutrin without the advice of your health care provider. Doing so may also increase the risk of experiencing a seizure.

Taking the Zoloft (sertraline) and Wellbutrin together can increase the risk of confusion, loss of coordination, dry mouth, restlessness, sweating, tremor, vomiting, or other side effects. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how these drugs affect you. You may feel drowsy or more tired when taking these together.

Many of the sinus medications contain antihistamines. These taken with the Ativan can make you feel drowsy or more tired when taking these drugs together. Do not drive or operate machinery until you know how these drugs affect you. Most OTC sinus medications contain an oral decongestant like pseudeophedrine (Sudafed). If you have high blood pressure, speak to your doctor before taking any oral decongestant.

Tylenol (acetaminophen) or an NSAID like Motrin (ibuprofen) can each be used with the three current medications. For congestion, you could use a saline nasal spray (Ocean).

I would suggest speaking with your local pharmacist who has your prescription records and let them help pick out a proper sinus product for you.
