Would Tabata be suitable for a 61-year-old female?

After looking into Tabata, I don’t see any issue with you trying this form of training, although I’m hoping you are looking into traditional exercise programs as well.

Tabata is a form of high intensity interval training (HIIT), alternating short rest periods with high intensity body weight or resistance training — by no means what I would prescribe for most 61 year-olds. Give it a try and see if it works for you. Best of luck!
