My doctor told me to follow a low-fat diet. What can I eat?

It is recommended that a person get less than 30 percent of their calories from fat. To help achieve this, incorporate more fruits, vegetables and whole grains into your diet. Limit low-fat snacks to no more than 3 grams of fat a day. Limit your consumption of high-fat foods, such as desserts, chips, salad dressing and fried foods.
