I ate breakfast at 9 a.m. and at 11.30 a.m. my blood sugar was 178 mg/dl. Do I have diabetes?

A random blood glucose of 200 or more can indicate diabetes. A postprandial (after meals) blood glucose of 178 is out of range for someone without diabetes. Ideally, blood glucose should stay under 140 mg/dl, even after eating. Make an appointment with your doctor for an A1c test.
