For breakfast some mornings, I add two tablespoons of ground flaxseed to a serving of oat bran. Does it make a difference nutritionally if I add the flaxseed before or after I cook the oatmeal — i.e., does cooking the ground flaxseed change its nutritional value?

Cooking does not appear to change the nutritional value of flaxseed. The fatty acid alpha-linolenic (ALA) that is in flaxseed remains stable when exposed both to heat and light. So enjoy!
