I have been battling infections colitis with bleeding for 7 months. Can this raise my A1c level?

Infections can raise our blood glucose level. An A1c level of 5.7 percent to 6.4 percent indicates prediabetes. A 6.5 percent reading and higher is diabetes. The infection could have increased your number, but tests indicate prediabetes at minimum.
