BJC HealthCare Featured in 2015 "Leading Practices on Disability Inclusion" Report
The U.S. Chamber of Commerce and the U.S. Business Leadership Network (USBLN(r)) invited congressional and business leaders, including BJC, to participate in the Corporate Disability Employment Summit: Leading Practices on Disability Inclusion on July 31, 2015, in Washington, D.C.
“Recognizing that embracing our differences leads to a culture of providing exceptional care to our patients, families, and the communities we serve, BJC recently enhanced its focus on providing an environment of inclusion within our workplace and the community,” said Rhonda Brandon, senior vice president and chief human resources officer for BJC HealthCare. “We are honored that the ‘Leading Practices on Disability Inclusion’ Report shares our success with reaching and supporting candidates with disabilities as they seek employment opportunities.”
Earlier this year, BJC established a partnership with the Vocational Rehabilitation of Missouri and Illinois to make it easier for individuals with disabilities to find, apply and obtain positions within BJC that matches their skills and career goals. In addition, BJC participates in transitional programs to help young adults with developmental disabilities prepare for employment.
