With 2011 net revenues of $3.6 billion, BJC serves the health care needs of urban, suburban and rural communities and includes 13 hospitals and multiple community health locations. Services include inpatient and outpatient care, primary care, community health and wellness, workplace health, home health, community mental health, rehabilitation, long-term care and hospice.
BJC is the largest provider of charity care, unreimbursed care and community benefits in the state of Missouri. BJC hospitals and services provide more than $252 million in charity and unreimbursed care annually. In addition, BJC provides additional community benefits through commitments to research, emergency preparedness, regional health care safety net services, medical and nursing education, health literacy, community outreach and regional economic development.

Alton Memorial Hospital
Founded in 1937, Alton Memorial Hospital sits in the center of 100 beautifully landscaped, wooded acres located in historic Alton, Illinois. The Hospital has expanded in size and services to fulfill its mission of improving the health of the communities it serves. Today, Alton Memorial Hospital is a JCAHO-accredited, full-service acute-care Hospital serving more than 200,000 residents from a five-county area in southwestern Illinois.
In 2012, Consumer Reports magazine ranked Alton Memorial Hospital the safest hospital in Illinois and one of the top hospitals in the country based on its review of publicly available patient safety and quality data. In addition, Alton Memorial Hospital was ranked #3 by U.S. News & World Report among St. Louis metro area hospitals. In 2010, the Duncan Wing opened, offering private patient rooms equipped with patient lifts and patient-touch technology at every bed.
Alton Memorial Hospital provides a range of high-tech services, including interventional and diagnostic cardiac services, a full range of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures, radiation and infusion therapy for cancer patients, open MRI and CT services, digitally sophisticated medical imaging, obstetrics and gynecological services, acute renal dialysis, orthopedic care, digestive health services, wound care and hyperbaric oxygen therapy, critical care services, rehabilitation and sports medicine, full 24-hour emergency services and the area’s only hospital-based ambulance service.
In addition to the Hospital, Alton Memorial operates a freestanding 62-bed nursing home and skilled nursing facility, Eunice Smith Home, on the Hospital campus.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital has been bringing high-quality health care to west St. Louis County since 1989. The Hospital provides comprehensive diagnostic and therapeutic services, a Heart and Vascular Center, pulmonary function, radiology, Siteman Cancer Center, a Sleep Disorders Center, and physical therapy and rehabilitation, as well as a full range of inpatient and outpatient surgical procedures including colorectal, urology, orthopedics, plastics, ENT and ophthalmology.

Christian Hospital
Christian Hospital is a full-service acute-care medical center on 28 acres in north St. Louis County. Christian Hospital is noted for its excellence in heart services, cardiothoracic surgery, emergency medicine, neurosurgery, cancer treatment, psychiatric services and substance abuse programs, radiology, urology, pulmonology and respiratory care unit, and radiation oncology. Clay County Hospital
Clay County Hospital, a Critical Access Hospital in Flora, Illinois, is a governmental unit owned by the County of Clay and managed by Alton Memorial Hospital. Since becoming a part of BJC HealthCare, Clay County constructed a new Hospital, which opened in February 2000. Clay County Hospital offers primary care services to the 15,000 citizens of Clay County and those in the neighboring counties of Marion, Wayne, Richland and Effingham. In 2004, the Hospital added a 12,000-square-foot medical office building to its campus. The medical office building houses a rural health clinic, specialty clinic and the rehabilitation services department. A 3,500-square-foot expansion of the building opened in 2008.

Missouri Baptist Medical Center

Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital
Missouri Baptist Sullivan Hospital is an acute-care hospital providing quality health care services to residents in Crawford, Franklin and Washington counties.
In recent years, the Hospital has enhanced and expanded the health care services available to the greater Sullivan community. In 2010, with the opening of a 25,000-square-foot expansion, Missouri Baptist Sullivan finished its eight-year campaign to completely rebuild the Hospital. In addition, the Hospital operates the Sullivan Sports Fitness and Rehabilitation Center, a free-standing facility in downtown Sullivan for rehabilitation services and exercise therapy. Parkland Health Center
Parkland Health Center includes a full-service acute care Hospital in Farmington, Missouri, as well as a three-bed Critical Access Hospital in Bonne Terre, Missouri. Parkland Health Center provides quality primary and secondary level inpatient and outpatient services to the people of St. Francois County and surrounding areas in southeastern Missouri.
The Farmington campus offers a full continuum of inpatient medical-surgical and intensive care, obstetrics, geriatric psychiatry and emergency services, along with a wide variety of outpatient services including a diabetes center and wound care clinic and the Huckstep Heart and Lung Center.

The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis
The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis provides a full range of acute inpatient, outpatient and community rehabilitation services for patients with stroke, brain and spinal cord injuries, cancer, and neurologic and orthopedic conditions. The first free-standing rehabilitation hospital in the metropolitan area, the facility features structured care units, independent living suites and classrooms for patient and family education.
Opened in March 2001, the facility was designed by patients, physicians and rehabilitation experts. A joint partnership between BJC HealthCare and HealthSouth Corporation, The Rehabilitation Institute of St. Louis is dedicated to maximizing patients’ ability to return to their homes, workplaces and communities.
The Hospital and its medical staff also conduct major rehabilitative research and education programs through an affiliation with Washington University School of Medicine.
The Rehabilitation Institute is certified for Stroke Rehabilitation by The Joint Commission, nd recently received full three-year accreditation from the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities (CARF) for its comprehensive inpatient rehabilitation program and stroke specialty program.

BJC Corporate Health Services
BJC Corporate Health Services (CHS) is the occupational medicine division of BJC HealthCare. CHS provides occupational health support and work-related injury care for BJC employees, including workers’ compensation administration. CHS also manages the WellAware Center, a full-service exercise facility near the campus of Barnes-Jewish Hospital.
Externally, CHS supports employers and employees of the St. Louis metropolitan area with three full-service BarnesCare clinics that provide expert physicals, surveillance, injury/exposure evaluation and treatment. Specialized services include independent medical exams, travelers’ health, on-site services and substance abuse testing. CHS offers 24/7 hotlines for body substance exposures and emergency room coordination of work-related care. In 2010, CHS and BarnesCare became the first and only St. Louis occupational medicine provider recognized as "quality certified" by the National Association of Occupational Health Professionals.

BJC Home Care Services offers patients and their families a complete range of home care services, including skilled nursing services, adult and pediatric hospice and supportive care, rehabilitation therapy, home infusion therapy, infusion treatment rooms, home medical equipment and high-tech respiratory care. Specialty home care programs also are available, including adult and pediatric asthma, cardiac, diabetes, orthopedic and wound care programs as well as the Lifeline emergency response system.

BJC Help for Your Health
BJC Help for Your Health is a health service organization comprising both BJC's employee wellness program and BJC's outreach efforts to improve the health of the community. BJC Help for Your Health encourages BJC employees to live healthier lives through health fairs, smoking cessation, weight management and exercise programs; and various campaigns to promote breast, colon and prostate health.
In addition, BJC Help for Your Health provides wellness and preventive health information and services to other employers, community organizations and the general public. At health events throughout the region, BJC provides health education programs, screenings for certain diseases, and weight management and smoking cessation seminars.
BJC's School Outreach and Youth Development program is one of the most extensive in the region, providing services to public, private and parochial school districts in Missouri and Illinois.
At the other end of the age continuum, OASIS, a national nonprofit educational organization for adults 50 and older, offers challenging lifelong learning, health improvement and civic engagement opportunities.
