How Can We Make Medicine Better?
Employees Showcase How BJC Makes Medicine Better
Employees from across BJC are bringing to life the organization's message to the community about BJC's unique strengths as a regional health care provider. The message marks BJC's first promotional outreach effort since its formation in 1993.
A series of print, broadcast, outdoor and online ads feature real employees and portray the impact BJC's hospitals and service organizations have on their patients, their communities and on health care delivery. Each tells a story through the eyes and voice of employees representing one of BJC’s hospitals or service organizations. About 300 employees responded to open "casting calls" at three locations.
"Patients and families know and appreciate their own caregivers and hospitals," says June Fowler, BJC vice president of corporate and public communications. "What they may not know is that their hospital is part of BJC and what that means. The messages help convey that our hospitals and service organizations are strengthened by the association with one another and with BJC."
BJC also has a social networking site to open dialogue about how to "Make medicine better." The multi-media campaign maintains visibility and spurs online discussion surrounding health care and health care reform through 2010. To join the conversation, visit www.makemedicinebetter.org.
