School Program Combines the Classroom and the Exam Room

Watch as Channel 4 highlights Parkway students as they job shadow at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital as part of the Pre-Professional Health Sciences Academy. This elective course, sponsored by the Parkway Board of Education, BJC School Outreach and Youth Development and the Special School District, exposes high school seniors interested in health and biomedical careers to health professionals. It combines classroom learning with job shadowing at Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital.

Barnes-Jewish West County Hospital employees Emily McManama, occupational therapist, and Meaghan Frank, RN, interventional radiology, and Parkway students Grace Jensen, Victoria Stamp and Daniel Prywitch were featured in the story.
