BJC also is committed to fully participating in and generously contributing to the communities we serve. Our impact as an employer, corporate citizen and community resource continues to grow.

Following is an overview of programs, services and contributions BJC provides through our affiliated hospitals and services. Although not an exhaustive list of the benefits we contribute to the community, this summary highlights several areas where BJC is helping to make a difference.

Charity Care $35 million in free care
Uncompensated Care $44 million in unpaid care
Subsidize Service Lines $16 million

All BJC hospitals and services proactively communicate to patients and their families the availability of financial assistance counseling and programs. Anyone in need of financial aid can learn more through brochures, posters in registration areas, information on billing statements and through the BJC web site.
